The Bretohr Siegemaster class battleships were the top of the line warship class in the UOSF before the First Bacterian War. Its firepower of was far greater than on older classes. They also had many other improvements over older battleships, including far more automation. This allowed a Bretohr Siegemaster class battleship, although much larger than older battleships, to require far less crew than previous ships of her type. As a result, the Bretohr Siegemaster class has far more spacious crew quarters than older battleship classes.

Weapon systems

The Bretohr Siegemaster class mounts a total of thirty heavy gun turrets. Supplementing these turret mounted weaponry, the Bretohr Siegemaster class mounted eight forward firing energy weapons. For point defense, a total of three hundred and twenty two point defense mounts are carried on the battleship. It requires a huge amount of firepower to swamp these ship's defenses.

These ships were designed as flagships and to be able to command fleets of vessels. As such, these ships carry extensive command and control facilities. The ship mounts numerous small phased arrays around the hull that can perform both the roles of tracking and fire control. The ship is also equipped with extremely sensitive radiological sensors which enable it to detect nuclear weapons. The ship can also take advantage of remote sensor platforms.

Propulsion & power systems

The Bretohr Siegemaster class mounts ten heavy fusion ion engines. As a result, the sub-light acceleration of the Bretohr Siegemaster class is greater than that of older vessels.

The ship is powered by fusion reactors that will theoretically operate for 40 years and can provide effectively unlimited electrical power. However, it was recommended that the drive and power system have routine maintenance every 5 years. Also, the ship only carries about an eight month supply of reaction mass / fuel for FTL drives.

Cargo capacity

The Siegemaster has a cargo capacity of 400,000 metric tons. Each enlisted crew member has a small locker for personal items and uniforms as well. Ship's officers have more space for personal items. Most of the ship's spaces are taken up by extra ammo, armor, troops, weapons, engine, reaction mass and equipment.

During the First Bacterian War, the plentiful cargospace was used to transport refugees from colonies under attack by the Bacterians.
