Ecnar class population transport
Space-Faring Capability: Yes
Atmospheric Flight Capability: Yes
Weapons: None
Shields: Microparticle Shielding System (G80 Low Modulation)
Ecnar 200 & 208
Max. Crew: 150
Min. Crew: 2
Sub-Light Drive: 1 Gluon Drive
FTL Drive: None. The 208 model had a DPS of some sort installed.
The Ecnar 200 and the more advanced model Ecnar 208 were used before and during the First Bacterian War as population transports for intra-system travel and training crafts at the Hemmo Academy (model 200) or traveling inter-stellar distances (model 208). The Ecnar had to have a runway in order to land on planetary surfaces due to its unsophisticated landing methods. It also had ten escape pods for the passangers. Even while it was hard to fly in the atmosphere and had other little glitches, the Ecnar became very popular due to its robust computer mainframe and hardware / software mods which became available after the release of the first models.
Today, Ecnars aren't seen very often. Those that are still serving their owners are usually heavily modified with new, better communications arrays, propulsion systems, AM shields and magneto-crystal landing mechanisms.
Ecnar 707
Max. Crew: 200
Min. Crew: 2
Sub-Light Drive: 3 x Gluon Drive
FTL Drive: Iretian Engineering Heavy PBDPS
The Ecnar 707 was another common class of transports in use on United Orcs worlds before and during the First Bacterian War. They were equipped with a PBDPS drive for interstellar travel.
The IRSS Homeland Courier was a ship of this class, although heavily modified with thick armor plating.
