When the Hemmoian Federation was young, almost every colony had a Guardian or two on their orbits. Guardians look like Colony stations, only way smaller, as they are a quick and dirty refit of Colony technology. Many variations of the standard Guardian exist, including Guardians MK2, MK3, MK4 and MK5, as well as endless unique customizations done on the fly. The only great difference between them is the firepower as well as the shielding systems, which have been constantly upgraded as time goes by.
