Magnetic field

The field responsible for magnetic forces, incorporated, along with the electric field, into the electromagnetic field.

The strength of a magnetic field is the strength of the magnetic force exerted by an object. Bar magnets have "di-polar" fields, as the force is exerted from the two ends of the bar. In simple terms, planets, stars and pulsars all have dipolar magnetic fields.
