Hemmoian blood libel

"Hemmoian blood libel" refers to the persisting myth among certain circles that the cyber-bionic implants used by Hemmoians are powered by the blood of other species, specifically children. Hemmoians would then need to abduct people and drain their blood to sustain their lifestyles. This peculiar myth is often employed by anti-Hemmoian ultranationalists such as the New Rebellion, and occasionally by less educated anti-collectivists.

Although these absurd claims have been debunked several times, they keep resurfacing in places where hatred of the Hemmoians and the Hemmoian Federation in particular is high. During the xenophobic Rubek Era, many Gigerdian media outlets repeated this claim as fact, and it was taught in schools.
