Orbeus cluster
An open star cluster of about 50 stellar bodies in the Delta Quadrant, the suns and resources of the Orbeus star cluster have proven to be optimal for the development of life. Many Delta Quadrant species have originated from the confines of this singular system, the most famous of which are the Hemmoians, the Orcs, and the Ollapukkitians.
History
The cluster is thought to be 5.2 billion years old, formed from a gravitational association of stars that formed from a single star-forming region that absorbed several other star systems into its gravitational influence, including the First Star system.
The Hemmoian/Orcish homeworld of Orceron was located in this system. Upon the planet's destruction in the Great Cataclysm of Orceron, the peoples of this world were forced to seek refuge in some other star system. This period of exile is known as the First Space Age among HFed historians.
Eventually, a world suitable for colonization was found in the orbit of a yellowish dwarf star known as Orbeus 6 by the NODE probe fleet. Eventually, this planet became known as Aldaain, and was settled by the survivors from Orceron.
Decades later, the civilization of the Ollapukkitians was discovered on another planet in the Orbeus 6 system, referred to as Ollapukkiti Prime.
