Photon Beams

A weapon system used by Gigerdians as well as the elusive La'fin, Photon Beams are produced by a series of high amplification constricting lenses. The beam is intensely hot and can sear through any known material given the time. The beam is amplified from its natural miniature scale by placing photon packets onto an electro-magnetic carrier wave. The wave "glues" the photon packs together which increases range a hundred fold. The carrier also produces a concussive force that alone has the force of a single rail gun round. But when the superheated photon packets hit the target, they weaken the structure millionths of nanoseconds before the concussive wave hits.
