R48 "Murderizer" Pistol

The R48 "Murderizer" 14mm Pistol was a heavy semi-automatic handgun in use by Orcish militias before the Peace Station Era.

Murderizers were favoured over Laser Pistols due to their improved killing ability, although they are less reliable and generally hold fewer shots in their magazine. An R48 magazine carries only 10 rounds of standard 14mm rounds, each weighing about 0.05 kilograms. The pistol is able to fire either a single shot or a short, three-round burst.

Ammunition variants

Standard rounds

Standard-issue antipersonnel ammunition, designed to penetrate a target and detonate.

Armor piercing rounds

Depleted uranium core for added armor piercing capabilities.

Hellfire rounds

Designed to immolate their targets and destroy them with superheated chemical fire. The core is replaced with an oxy-phosphorous gel. However, due to the decreased projectile mass, armour-piercing capabilities are compromised.

EM rounds

Designed against robotic targets.
