A gas planet with an atmosphere composition of primarily methane and some amounts of hydrogen and water vapour, Reel 4 has seen extensive gas mining operations. For a short time, its atmosphere was the only source of fresh breathing methane for the population of the primary colony of Reel 5, as their life support facilities were disabled by a Bacterian assault.

Reel 4 has a diameter of 42 000 km and like most gas giants cannot be charted due to its ever-changing cloud patterns.
