Secondary Data Loop
From Peace Station Encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Secondary Data Loop is one of the four super-networks that form the Hemmoian Collective. It was constructed to link subspace networks outside the Delta Quadrant with the central Collective.
Due to the increased distances, the Secondary Data Loop is generally slower than the Primary Data Loop. It may take days or even months for information to travel from one quadrant to another. Furthermore, access to critical Collective functions is often forbidden to users from the Secondary Data Loop in order to protect the Collective from invasions by foreign governments.
