16 Cygni A is the companion star of 16 Cygni B, which is considered the central sun in the 16 Cygni system. The two stars orbit each other at a distance of 700 AU, once every 100.000 years.
The star also has a closer red dwarf binary companion, known as 16 Cygni C.
