Written forms

The written appearance of Ancient Orcish changed radically over time, as different Orcish nations established different writing systems. Most commonly, Ancient Orcish was written in hieroglyphs or pictograms of various types.

Dialects found in CCRsduösmfos were read from top to bottom, while the symbols are more commonly read from left to right. The round (or angular) pictograms are believed to have been read circularly, clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on orientation, starting from the middle.
