The BGT-45 Plasma Mine is a standard Gigerdian fighter/shuttle-portable space-based mine with an extremely destructive plasma core. The mines can be deployed in large mine fields across space, or they can be attached to e.g. asteroids or floating space debris or even on hulls of starships. During the Lightness War, several GA colonial forces attached several of these mines together in order to create a very powerful explosive against the invaders. Bubble mines, as they were called, got their name from the bubble-like effect the explosion of the mines created.

Fighters transporting these mines need rather cumbersome, fighter-sized mine magazines installed on their missile slots. Not all GA shuttles are directly compatible with these either, and in fact most of the Gigerdian shuttles cannot carry mine magazines at all without considerable modification.
