Bellatrix, also known as Gamma Orionis and the Amazon Star, is a bright blue giant star.

Future

It could have just enough mass to explode in the distant future as a supernova, although it is probably not massive enough. It will likely end up as massive neon-magnesium white dwarf after its red supergiant phase.
