Central Bureau of Penology

The Central Bureau of Penology is or was an organization within the UCP government responsible for the administration of the various penal colonies of the state. The bureau also acted as a clearinghouse for research information generated in several rather top-secret experiments in the colonies they oversaw. The headquarters of this organization have been at some point in Stockholm, on Earth.

It is unknown if the Central Bureau of Penology is still operating or not. It is possible that penal handling and administration has been moved to a commercial entity of some sort in UCP space.
