Clanger class Assault Drop-Ship

The Clanger class Assault Drop-Ship is the dedicated troop transport developed in the V'romo Kingdom. Rather than act as a transport for large scale invasions, however, the Clanger class ships are designed to deliver small-scale V'romo Combat Teams to a location. The only real extravagance on the ship are the Advanced Homing Missile Launcher systems. The flexibility of these weapons offset their rarity.

The Clanger is designed to land on a world and quickly field a Combat Team. With this in mind, the Clanger had to be fast to elude defenders. This resulted in a fast, maneuverable vessel. These features allow the V'romo to put forces on the ground or evade enemy forces, maximizing the use of their limited resources.

Armament

Most of the armament of the Arcadia is based around missile launchers. Inflicting massive damage, they provide enough firepower to encourage any opponent to permit a Clanger to land. These weapons allow the captain to load extended range and short range munitions and fire them from the same launcher. This flexibility makes them perfect for the Clanger, allowing for long range support and close in defense without requiring multiple missile systems.

For a quick and devastating blow, the Clanger also mounts a quartet of chain-linked autocannons. When fired at their highest rate, they're capable of inflicting more than enough damage to destroy or seriously damage any opponent foolish enough to close with the Clanger.

Cargo

The first three bays are configured so they each carry several vehicles, such as APCs and Walkers. The fourth cargo bay can carry almost 80 tons of cargo. It may be used to carry away the spoils from victories.
