Coffee

Coffee, a hot beverage commonly consumed in all parts of the galaxy can be prepared from a wide variety of roasted plant seeds. The most common form of coffee is the one originating from the Alpha Quadrant; in which the coffee is prepared from the roasted coffee beans of a plant. Naturally several dozens of different variations of coffee exist in the galaxy currently, i.e. the popular Raktajino drink originating from UCP space.

Despite the wide popularity of Coffee all around the galaxy, some UCP and GA colonies have effectively banned the cultivation of Coffee seeds in colonies with limited agricultural and hydroponics facilities. Despite these restrictions, Coffee smuggling is rampant especially in colonies with unsuitable atmospheres for surface agriculture.
