Cognitive Overcycler
A common Hemmoian implant, the Cognitive Overcycler makes the user's biological brain work overtime, making everything around the user appear to move in slow motion (or even completely stopped). As an example, this can be used by military commanders to hold a meeting about strategy through the Collective while combat is already taking place around them, with their decisions appearing to the outside world as near-instantaneous.
Like all technologies enhancing a biological system, the Overcycler does have its limitations. At even the highest frequencies of cognitive amplification, biological thought processes cannot reach the speeds of computer systems - notably quantum and tachyon computers. Excessive use of the Overcycler device can also result in brain overload, thus forcing its user to pick and choose situations where it is employed.
