Collinder 76

Jump to navigationJump to searchAn open cluster of stars, Collinder 76 consists of around 50 or so stars of mixed magniudes. Also known as NGC 2112, this unusual cluster resides in the galactic disc - an area of mostly very old, metal poor stars. It is believed that Collinder 76 is of a more intermediate age, based on photometric and spectroscopic data.
