The G.A.S. Sotillo served as a front-line support ship during the Third Bacterian war. It took part in several smaller battles against the Bacterian ships around the Apraising Colony. The Sotillo "kicked the bucket" after being ordered to scout an area of space near Bacterius, before the bigger GA fleets could jump in. As the Sotillo entered the area, a Bacterian battle group of ships destroyed the Sotillo using the "open a jumpgate near the ship" trick. Captain Needah Tesrek was killed. She was the former wife of ISA president Nix Balmorra.
