General of the GA Ground forces

The appointment of a General of the GA Ground Forces is a rank bestowed upon a well-decorated Ground Force commander (usually a General) of the GA Military by the President of the alliance at the beginning of a new term in office. The General of the GA Ground Forces answers directly to the Gigerdi Alliance Military Joint Chiefs of Staff and the President. The position of the General of the GA Ground Forces lasts as long as the term of a presidency does, which is then replaced by a new General.

The General of the GA Ground Forces oversees and coordinates the entire ground force operations of the Military Ground Forces, and often assists the Grand Admiral in planning fleet operations.
