A white dwarf in the Gliese 86 system. It is the companion star of Gliese 86 A which has a gas giant planet; the planet survived star B's expansion into red giant phase and eventual nova outburst. At that point, the two stars were only separated by a distance of 15 AU. Today, they are 21 AU apart and complete an orbit around each other in 80 years.
