Gravitational collapse

Jump to navigationJump to searchWhen the gas pressure exerting a force outwards cannot match the gravitational force of the matter of the star, which is pointing inwards, a star collapses. This occurs several times during a star's life. When the collapse occurs the pressure and heat increases in the center of the star.
