The Hauler mk1 and mk2 transports are the finest military
transports in the GA military fleets. The Mk1 Hauler has a
lot of space for cargo and is used in resupply runs into
deep space territories and colonies of the GA. It can also
perform planetary landings in order to unload its cargo or
troopers at the right time.
The updated weaponry was also a good idea. The Mk1 and mk2
Haulers have a fusion reactor which runs with the common
Dragonium fuel mined from several asteroids and
planets. The Hauler mk1 doesn't carry any fighters at all,
but the mk2 does. Some of the Haulers are in civilian use
but they are, naturally, stripped down versions.
These vessels are also the most common transport in the
Inter-Planetary Alliance. The IPA versions have been
modified to some extent, and have more cargo space at the
expense of the weaponry, which has been reduced to two
LPD's, one MPD and a pulse cannon.
