Captain Herbon Meer was a private prospector from Raamkla system. Born on a space station, he earned money by mapping planets and finding resources. His goal was to make sure he could live out his life in comfort in retirement.

He was a tough individual and an experienced starship captain, with a proficiency in energy weapons. His starship was called the UOV Tool of Love.
