A relatively metal rich star, Iota Horologii is the central star of the Iota Horologii system. Also known as HR 810, HD 17051 and HIP 12653. Planetary companions present. The yellow star also has a vast dust disk surrounding it.
Origin
Iota Horologii originally formed with the Hyades cluster 625 million years ago but since then has moved 130 light years away from this group.
