The KBL-810 neural command uplink was the first tactical command implant system successfully fielded into battle for the Gigerdians.

The KBL-810 system was fielded first against the Bacterians during the so-called Beta Quadrant Conflict. The KBL-810 series of uplinks only required a very small cranial implant for the operator or commander of a ground combat unit in order to be able to issue orders and lay out tactical movements across the battlefield. The KBL-810 was also the first series of neural implant uplinks which were created to allow interconnection between different divisional commanders to form a "virtual battlefield" that they could operate in and coordinate and plan ground unit movements together in real time.

The neural uplink was very fast to use and very resistant to external jamming of the time and the type which Bacterian forces could generate.
