Merchant

Merchants prosper from their ability to locate opportunity and exploit it. Some establish themselves in one location, opening a shop on a colony world, a bar on a space station, or a restaurant at the end of the Universe.

Many offer a particular service, working as tailors, barbers and repairmen. The most popular endeavor involves free trading - plying the quadrant's trade routes, acquiring goods in one place and making them available in others where supply is short. Members of this profession include free traders, shop keepers, restaurateurs, corporate officers, and anyone else who offers goods and services for a price.
