Nanite

Generic term for a molecular or nanoscale device, a nanite may be mechanical or biological. The former are also called nanobots.

Nanites for consumer use typically come in small packages containing a supply of the atomic-scale construction devices and larger quantities of their raw materials. These can then be used directly (such as with the Anti-Dust Nanite Spray) or fed into a Replicator that can use the nanite resources to fashion new items.
