Not every medical situation calls for the expertise of a doctor or the emergency training of a medic. In most cases, medical care is provided by nurses, who are medical practitioners skilled in overseeing the day to day operations of any medical facility. In some cases, they may be better at their jobs and know more than the doctors who actually run the facility.
