Omega-Delta fighter was designed after the Timocracy war, since Lanzis and other fighters started to get too old and not enough powerful.
Technology
The Omega-Delta was the first GA fighter to use some T-Race technology, which were the jump engines and then the reactor. With the antimatter reactor the Omega-Delta fighter was the first ship to be able to fire the new plasma cannons that were designed only to fighters.
Production
Lots of Omega-Delta MkI fighters were built after the Timocracy war. Before Lightness war Omega-Delta MkI fighters were mostly just used as a patrol fighters. When the Lightness war started these fighters went straight into service, but didn't prove to be as good as they were expected to be, they were fast and maneuverable, but had only light weaponry and shielding, so a new MkII model had to be designed.
Several Omega-Delta MkIs survived from the war and are still in service, although MkI is a lot worse in every way than the MkII. Lots of Omega-Delta MkIs have been seen in the past conflict, maybe because GA wants them out of service, but don't want to decommission them.
