Psychologist

One who studies and practices psychology, especially for the purpose of aiding other sentient beings.

As well as understanding the workings of the mind in general, and assessment of an individual's ability, personality, and expected behavior under specific conditions, psychology is very useful in the treatment of the mentally or emotionally disturbed, in counselling, and in helping to maintain the well-being of a crew on an isolated station or deep space ship.
