The Rock Bat is a prototype drone, capable of performing scouting missions in various environments, such as planetary atmospheres, the void of space and most nebulae, and they're mostly used for planetary and nebular recon.

The Rock Bat is smaller than the Fire Bat and more maneuverable as well, which makes it harder to detect. It can also take some beating before expiring, which makes it optimal for long scout runs.

The standard version carries no weaponry, but there have been rumours of an advanced version which would have some form of weapon system installed.
