Space biker

Space bikers are often smaller or larger groups of people driving around the various atmospheres of planets or optionally orbits of planets with speeder bikes or other smaller high mobility craft. The speeders can also be dropped from high altitude lengths and then be piloted down into the lower atmosphere at high velocities thus making it a very dangerous sport not just to the pilot of the speeder but to also possible incoming traffic.

The bikers use specifically designed spacefaring speeders to race each other or some other gangs mainly for pleasure. The various law enforcement agencies around the galaxy have declared the space bikers and their dangerous hobbies illegal, but the biker gangs do not care too much of this and thus even harass the authorities in orbit from time to time.

This phenomenon is also something that manifests itself in the more civilized quadrants of space, although the bikers have a tendency to be at large in worlds, colonies and outposts where law enforcement has difficulty of operating in the first place.

In the Free Zone the various worlds and colonies have several space biker gangs roaming around and engaging in various dubious activities whenever possible. One of the most notable gangs inside the zone are the Asteroid Demons and the Stellar 69'ers active around the orbits of Ichitius.
