Talk:Battle of Ksendaar

Umm, listen..

Turns out, that this "Battle of Ksendaar", according to these really old notes I've got here, is supposedly have taken place around the planet that the Peace Station orbits. We can therefore draw the conclusion, that at least the Gigerdians have named the planet that hasn't had a name before.

However, this battle takes place in the Delta Quadrant.. And.. Yet.. The notes say that it was a battle that occurred during the First Bacterian War, when the Gigerdians also fought small border skirmishes with the Bacterians.

What the hell did Gigerdian ships do in the Delta Quadrant.. Fighting "border skirmishes" ???

A small section of the Gigerdian territory does reach out into the Delta Quadrant according to maps ... Furthermore, at the time of the First Bacterian War, the Delta Quadrant was not entirely under Orcish/Hemmoian control - even less so since the bacterians were systematically wiping their colonies out. The Gigerdian force could've been an expeditionary force that ran into the Bacterian presence that was all around the Delta Quadrant at that point in time.

I could see this battle happening, just as long as the references to it being around the Peace Station planet are eliminated, because that just isn't happening. From a storytelling point of view it could function as a prelude to the HemmoCruiser Incident, establishing hostile contact had been made between the Gigerdians and the Bacterians prior to the Gigerdian first contact with the UO.

I could see it take place in the Gigerdian core territories?

Yeah, that might work. We'll just move this little thingie over there, then.
