Talk:Gigerdians
As there is little established with Gigerdian anatomy, I have one suggestion. As you are aware hemoglobin transfers oxygen ligands with iron as the central atom and you probably also remember that Vulcans use copper for this role (and thus have green blood). Now I was thinking that Gigerdians could also use some other transition element other than iron for this job, like manganese or cobalt. This would make their blood probably blue or black respectively (obviously this would conflict Harbinger, but I think that's a minor issue). Suggestions? Opinions?

The Mouth
I think anything that makes an alien species different from humans is a-okay and should be done. On a related note, coming from a graphical perspective, what I've been wondering about is shouldn't this logically also change the color of their mouths and other exposed mucous membranes? For now, I've been coloring the inside of Gigerdian mouths red like you would do with a human, but I'm wondering if they shouldn't actually be green (or now, blue?)
Well the areas with skin (like lips) don't necessarily have to have the blood color, but other areas with mucosa (like oral cavity or tongue) are something that should have blooddish color. Though I guess these things appear much more rarely and for movie purposes I don't think there is a need to color them (coloring oral cavity would be quite tricky also).
