Type T star

Jump to navigationJump to searchClass T dwarfs are cool brown dwarfs with surface temperatures between approximately 700 and 1300 K. Their emission peaks in the infrared. Methane is prominent in their spectra, which is why they are often called methane dwarfs.
Examples include SIMP 0136, Epsilon Indi Ba & Epsilon Indi Bb, and the CFBDS 1448 system.
