UOAF Penetrator
From Peace Station Encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to searchLaunched from capital ships, the tiny Penetrators were not actually fully fledged starfighters but delivery vehicles for UOAF marines. They could easily breach enemy capship armor or perform atmospheric entry and landing to hit enemy ground bases. Depending on their configuration the vessels had two forward-facing XRL or photrazon cannons which could be used to clear the path to their target, and maneuvering jets for minor course adjustments. They had no power generators but instead relied on a short lived battery unit which was activated during launch, and no life support. The soldiers were kept alive during delivery by a Combat Vacuum Suit (CVS) which had breathing methane for about an hour and was usually discarded upon arrival.
