A large planetoid in orbit of Sol, asteroid 4 Vesta is the second largest asteroid in the Sol system, stuck between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. It was fully formed early on, turning solid and crystallizing within 10 million years of the Sol system's formation.

Vesta has a very large impact crater on it that exposes the mantle. There are a number of smaller (<10 km) asteroids which have the the same photometry and spectrum as Vesta, indicating they are probably larger fragments from the same impact.
