Vinegar is a sour-tasting liquid made from the oxidation of ethanol in wine, cider, beer, fermented fruit juice, or nearly any other liquid containing alcohol. Vinegar is used in food preparation in some humanoid species, but mostly it is just regarded as something quite useless by non-humans.
