The Xelborn Disaster was an early spaceflight disaster that occurred on the outer regions of the First Star system. For some reason, the starship Xelborn, an OLY-12 Hyperspace Cruiser, and a smaller VS-29-Ö civilian spacecraft initiated engine burns that resulted in a full frontal collision, detonating the fuel reserves of both vessels. The Xelborn crashlanded on a small icy planetoid, its fuselage torn in half. Some passengers and crew located in the front part of the vessel survived the explosion.
