Final Defense of Aldaain
The decisive battle of the V3 War, the Final Defense of Aldaain occurred in the Orbeus-6 system. It was a space battle between the V3 Doomsday Fleet and forces of the United Orcs, primarily the UOSF.

Events
Background
The V3 Alliance, having assaulted and annexed several UO worlds in numerous star systems, had been preparing a final strike against the UO since the beginning of the V3 War.
Meanwhile, UO forces in the Xenomortis system had made contact with a species known as the V'romo, who had been subjugated as a thrall race by the V3. Although their homeworld had been devastated, the V'romo still had a number of operational facilities and starships in the system.
Traveling aboard the V'romo Explorer, a V'romo starship equipped with a cloaking field, a clandestine UO special unit managed to infiltrate the spaceyard where the Doomsday Fleet was being assembled. They eventually made it aboard the V3 Flagship itself and managed to disable the cloaking field it was projecting, making it visible to UO sensor grids.
The Emergency Scramble
On Aldaain, UO military command learned of the situation just as the Doomsday Fleet was forced to decloak on the outer edge of the Orbeus 6 system.
Plans for a counter-assault were quickly drawn by the Orcish military strategist CCSöosd o CCKiidyplsiåimlo XII. All starships in the vicinity were called to engage the incoming Doomsday Fleet.
The UOSF starships were unable to engage the Doomsday Fleet, however, as the Fleet was still protected by a high intensity one-way shield umbrella powered by a special generator assembly being towed by the V3 Flagship. The cloaked V'romo Explorer managed to disable this generator by maneuvering beside it, then overloading and detonating its power plants. The resulting explosion took out the shield generator, finally allowing UOSF starships to engage the enemy.
The Final Defense
While all this was going on, the Doomsday Fleet had closed the distance from the outer edges of the system to within firing range of Aldaain.
The UOSF defense fleet was outnumbered and outgunned by the Doomsday Fleet, but with the central shield systems down, UO space marines could penetrate the Flagship's hull with breaching pods and begin an assault from the inside.
Eventually the UO marine force, with heavy losses, managed to disable most of the Flagship's ship-to-ship weapons systems, the Triple Ion Cannon, the Heavy Triple Burst Laser and the Triple Missile Launcher. The primary planet killer weapon system still remained operational, however.
