The V3 War was an interstellar war that raged in the Orbeus star cluster between the United Orcs and the V3 Alliance (former Ho'kan Empire) from 2,0179 to 2,0210. It can be seen as the final phase in a series of conflicts that started with the Hemmo Wars and included the Great Cataclysm of Orceron.

Background

With the worlds of Orbeus 6 firmly colonized, the UO was free to expand into the Orbeus cluster and beyond. However, the former Ho'kan Empire, still based in the First Star system, had also expanded into neighboring star systems and refounded itself as the interstellar V3 Alliance. It was not long before the two enemies met once more, resulting in renewed hostilities.

Initial stages

The war between the UO and the V3 is considered to have started in 2,0179 with the Invasion of Larnakk, although officially there had been no end to the previous conflict between the governments, and no diplomatic relations had been established.

As a response, Defense Station E-10 was designed, constructed and orbited to defend Aldaain in 2,0180.

UOSF Iso Möykky destroyed by V3 forces in 2,0181, the first great loss for the UO starfleet.

UOSF Blah Yo was constructed in 2,0183. It was supposed to be the first of a whole new type of ships, but it is useless against the V3 forces and their superior technology.

In 2,0184, O.R.C, the "Orcish Resistance Center" station is constructed to act as a last line of defense for Aldaain, and also to repel hit-and-run attacks.

Contact with the V'romo

In 2,0184, First Contact was established with the V'romo in the Xenomortis system by a group of UOSF patrolships mapping the systems surrounding the Orbeus Cluster. They were a primitive planetary civilization divided by internal warfare between kingdoms, but had been forced to unite against the threat of the V3, who had made repeated attempts to conguer their homeworld.

The V'romo Union of Kingdoms signed an alliance with the United Orcs the following year, agreeing to help in the war against the V3. An exchange of weapons and technology began.

The V3 continued with ground-based attacks of conquest against UO colony worlds. In 2,0189, the V3 attacked Ministero PT. Ondo Boead bravely defends the Ministero PT colony against V3 ground attacks.

The Doomsday Fleets

In 2,0206, UOSF Noomoc is sent to the research facility where the V3 planet killer beam is constructed. A whole attack fleet of V3 ships decloaks and destroys the ship. These are the first known Cloaking Devices. ???? 2,0206 Major cloning effort by the United Orcs underway to replenish their outnumbered armies.

On k-date 2,0207, the government learns that the V3 are building another planet killer to be used against Aldaain - the transdimensional Planet Eater Array.

A cloaking device is stolen from one of the V3 research colonies, with great losses to the United Orcs. ???? 2,0208 The V3 Doomsday Fleet is launched from their shipyards. CCSöosd o CCKiidyplsiåimlo the Twelfth, an orcish military genius, is called to Aldaain Centrum to plan a last, desperate strike against the V3 main fleet, equipped with the Planet Killer Beam.

The Final Defense of Aldaain

He and the government of the UO come up with a plan to install the stolen cloaking device on one of the best v'romo ships, known as V'romo Explorer, which could infiltrate the V3 doomsday fleet and then do a surprise attack to the command ships, thus disabling most of the fleet so that the outnumbered UOSF could destroy them.

Several v'romos and a legendary orcish pilot, Audom of the clan Alapaavo are assigned to operate the ship.

The plan is a success, as the ships of the Doomsday Fleet are either destroyed or disabled over Aldaain. ???? 2,0209 The United Orcs, by studying the computer systems on board the disabled V3 command ship, learn the location of the V3 leaders.

UOSF launches a massive attack to the main base where the leaders are located and the base is defeated easily, since most of the ships guarding it had went to Aldaain with the Doomsday Fleet.

Without their leaders, the V3 gradually die out. Some independent factions remain, but they are quickly wiped out when they try to terrorize the United Orcs.

The V3 War is officially over.

S-532 tanks are removed from active duty. ???? 2,0210

The war lasted until 2,210, culminating in the Final Defense of Aldaain and the destruction of Xalan, the V3 throne world.

Aftermath

With the war over, remaining V3 colonies were annexed by the UO and the union entered a period of peace and intensive space colonization, later known as the New Colonization Era.
