Fortress Abraxis class mothership

Similar to the Fortress Burator class but considerably smaller, the main saucer of a Fortress Abraxis class mothership is only 15 kilometers in diameter. In typical Bacterian fleets, they serve an ultraheavy battleship / carrier role, shielding the smaller capital ships purely with their mass and the array of powerful shield generators located on the main saucer.

Variety of roles

Like the Burator, the Abraxis class Fortress ship blurs the line between a space station and a starship. A single Abraxis class can act as a powerful attack or defense base by itself while in orbit around planets or moons.

One such vessel, the BES Emperor's Command, served as the home base of a large Bacterian population in orbit of Aldaain for several decades in the Third Age of Hemmoian chronology, until it was reactivated as a warship at the beginning of the First Bacterian War.
