The giant Fortress Burator class craft, like all Bacterian motherships, serve as the nerve centers and mobile bases of the Imperial Bacterian Navy. With a saucer section of a 31,6 kilometer diameter and capable of planetfall, a Fortress Burator is a fearsome sight in the sky of any world. Fortunately for the enemies of the Empire, motherships are rarely seen in combat.
Shaped like a saucer with various organic spires and protrusions growing out of it, a Fortress Burator is basically a ready-made Bacterian city you can drop on a planet from orbit. They are capable of setting down deep into a planet surface and acting as a base of operations for a military force of any size. The BES Hammer Revelation, commanded by Pavonidas the Bacterian during the First Bacterian War, is a well known example of this tactic.
After the initial attacks, the starship turned into a command fortress almost single-handedly waged the Siege of Aldaain on the southern hemisphere of the world, while the rest of the Bacterian "Purification Fleet" Holy Fire spread destruction in other UO colonies.
Each starship of this size has a Ship Brain aboard.
