An old starfighter design used by the UO Armed Forces and Starfleet during the V3 War, the H-Wing was a multipurpose vessel with a secondary mission profile as a light bomber. H-Wings were devastating in close-quarters combat, where their durability allowed them to withstand several direct hits.
The H-Wing's ventral and dorsal stabilizer fins assist the ship's atmospheric flight and rotate 180 degrees to a horizontal landing configuration. In their vertical flight position they minimize the fighter's visible silhouette, making it harder for AA fire to hit it during planetary assaults and bombing runs.
