Home Fleet
The Home Fleet was a large collection of starships and spacecraft of various types, manned by the billions of Orceronian refugees who had managed to escape before the destruction of their homeworld in the the Great Cataclysm of Orceron. The fleet was considered all that remained of the United Orcs and Orceronian civilization in general after the Cataclysm.
The fleet was primarily composed of civilian starships, protected by the remnants of the United Orcs Starfleet (UOSF) which assumed a full military role.
History
Foundation
Shortly after the escape, an Emergency Government of the UO was formed.
Search for a new homeworld
Shortly after the refoundation, the UO government passed emergency resolution 900RS-088, giving priority to Project NODE, a special space exploration initiative for the express purpose of locating a new homeworld for the Orceronian civilization. The mission was priority one for the entire United Orcs as the conditions of the refugees grew worse daily aboard the cramped starships, resources were dwindling, and a complete collapse seemed imminent.
With the Gateway Device left in the First Star system, the main fleet was unable to travel any great distances. The NODE Fleet was composed of those starships with FTL capacity.
