Pavonius the Berserk (also known as Berserkki Paavo, Pavonius of Clan Berserker and Hyhhyhahha) is a legendary Orcish warrior, folk hero, most well-known member of Clan Berserk, and one-time Ambassador of the United Orcs to the Peace Station.

Career

Pavonius is primarily known as a legendary Orcish warrior and the champion of Clan Berserk. In the early Third Age, this led him to a confrontation with a young Pavonidas the Bacterian, who was seeking membership in the clan. This was denied when Pavonius defeated him in combat at a secret compound on Aldaain. It was this event that indirectly led to the First Bacterian War a decade later.

In addition to his well-known career as a traditional Orcish warrior, Pavonius has had various different jobs during the course of his life. These include:

• Police officer, Grade C (dishonorably discharged)
• Nuclear Power Plant operator (discharged after plant vaporized)
• Offworld uranium miner (retired)
• Ambassador of the United Orcs to the Peace Station (retired upon disbanding of the UO)
• Bartender and owner of "The Cave" on the Peace Station (retired after the station was shut down)

Marital status

Pavonius the Berserk was briefly married, but according to reports, "gave his wife away as payment to a taxi driver one night when he couldn't find his wallet". He has not remarried since.

Criminal record

Pavonius the Berserk was the only ambassador on the Peace Station known to have a criminal record. He was convicted of "the atomic destruction of several far-flung worlds", "self-murders", and traffic violations, and had received innumerable fines and even death sentences on several worlds. This, however, only seemed to boost the confidence placed on him by the Orcish community as their representative.

During the First Bacterian War, Pavonius the Berserk was involved in the kidnapping of the Overhemmo by Neo-Rebellion terrorists. Although he joined the organization in good faith, he soon grew dissatisfied with its actions and started sabotaging it from within. Ovaap Resrek and the Overhemmo managed to escape with his assistance and he was subsequently cleared of terrorism charges.

Hobbies

Pavonius is known to maintain an extensive collection of grenade fragments from different eras, counted in the hundreds. This alone is not particularly impressive, until you hear the collection consists solely of fragments he has extracted from his own body after fierce battles.

Nicknames

On some Öksy colony worlds, Pavonius the Berserk is known as the legendary "Hyhhyhahha," a name that reflects his laugh which is said to "freeze the very blood in the veins of his enemies".
