Unity Flight
The Unity Flight was a UO campaign to end the Great Chaos and unite lost colonies with the Orbeus cluster via interstellar flights.
Background
After the initial disorder of the Great Chaos, the UOSF and the UO government on Aldaain began pondering how to unite the fighting species and factions and how to re-establish between the colonies now that the subspace relay network had suffered a cascading failure. Without the relay network, navigational beacons were also offline.
To remedy the situation, UOSF engineers started work to design and construct a special ship, capable of fast FTL travel and rebuilding subspace relay nodes, that would visit every colony to negotiate a peace treaty. This first ship was known as the UOSF HemmoCruiser I, named after the fabled sea-faring HemmoCruiser that had united the continents on Orceron.
The First Flight
However, shortly after the HemmoCruiser had began its mission, all contact with the ship was lost. The most popular theory was that the ship's FTL engine (first of its kind) experienced a major core malfunction, thus leaving the ship drifting in the endless depths of hyperspace. The failure of the first HemmoCruiser ship demoralized everyone in the United Orcs, and almost two years passed until the HemmoCruiser II was built.
