GCS Asunda

Class: Gigerdi Mk.II class
Type: Cruiser/carrier

The GCS Asunda, formerly GFS Asunda was a medium cruiser that defected to the confederal side during the early stages of the Secession War. Most of the crew aboard the Asunda stayed on the federal side, leaving the ship running with only a skeleton crew after the defection.

The entire wing of fighters stayed manned aboard the cruiser, however, and as it was discovered that they were top-of-the-line models they were transferred to the confederal 1st fleet to supplement the carrier groups there.

GCS Asunda served in the confederal battlegroup 375 "Frontier Justice" with a considerably smaller fighter contingent and managed to survive the Timocracy War.
